Her love of cooking and baking was shared with many. Norma was best known for her extraordinarily loving, giving heart and love for the Lord.

She joined WestSide Christian Church in 1958 where she was very active. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers (Kenneth and Dale Jacobs) and her sister June Vermillion. Survivors include 5 children, Linda (Dan) Woodland, Michael “Mike” (Rayla) Johnston, Susan (Rick) Salyer, Kim Brown (Steve Emme), all of Topeka and Tami Brooks of Bonita Springs, FL 10 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren. They celebrated their 70th anniversary in June, 2018. She was born on Jin Council Grove, KS, the daughter of Ernest and Esther Jacobs. Norma Jean Johnston, 89, of Topeka, KS, passed away on January 4, 2019.
